Mediatek was the leader in smartphone chipsets shipping in 2020.

Mediatek is a Taiwaneese company known for creating the best semi-conductors on the market.

Their products are used in devices like smartphones, tablets, naviagtions and many more.

Thanks to the quality of their products, their have been able to ship over 351.8 million chipsets in 2020 which is a lot better than in 2019 when they send 238 million chipsets.

Xiaomi is the biggest customer for Mediatek. The Chinese has sold 63.7 million handsets with MediaTek chipsets in 2020 compared to 19.7 million in 2019. Oppo is the second one. They sold 55.3 million compared to the 46.3 million in 2019. Combined with Realme, Oppo shipped 83.2 million MediaTek devices last year. Samsung was one of the biggest customers with 43.3 million shipments in 2020.
